Terms of Service for ClipSpark by nthlabs

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Service Description

• AI-powered editing that turns an uploaded video into a short clip: the speech is transcribed, the video is split into scenes, an AI picks the strongest scenes, and the result is rendered as a new video
• Optional burned-in captions on the rendered clip
• Guest access with limited free generations
• Authenticated access via Google (Firebase)
• Manual payment-based credit system
• Basic analytics via Cloudflare and internal logs

3. User Responsibilities

• You may not upload or generate content that is illegal, offensive, or violates others’ rights
• You confirm that you own or have the right to use the footage you upload, including the right to any music, speech, or people appearing in it
• You are responsible for reviewing the generated clip and its captions before publishing it anywhere. Transcription and scene selection are automatic and can be wrong — captions may misspell words and the AI may cut a scene in a way that changes the meaning
• You must not attempt to hack, spam, or overload the system

4. Intellectual Property

• You retain all rights to the video you upload and to the clip the Service produces from it
• We claim no ownership of your footage or of your finished clip, and we do not use them to train models
• We retain rights to the Service itself — its algorithms, prompts, and scene-selection logic

5. How Your Video Is Processed

To produce a clip, the Service extracts the audio from your video and sends it to Groq for speech-to-text, then sends the resulting text transcript to OpenAI to choose the best scenes. By using the Service you agree to this processing — it cannot work otherwise.

Your uploaded video and the rendered clip are deleted from our server within 15 minutes, so download your clip before then. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

6. Payments

Payments are handled manually through communication with our team. After payment confirmation, credits are added to your account. We reserve the right to change pricing or packages at any time.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled manually, as detailed in our Refund Policy. If the service becomes unavailable or fails due to a confirmed issue, we may offer a refund or equivalent credits in other nthlabs products.

8. Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation
• We are not liable for loss of content, revenue, or opportunities
• Our total liability is limited to refunding your latest payment

9. Service Availability

This project is currently in an MVP stage. Features and uptime may vary. We may temporarily or permanently suspend the Service and will notify registered users via email when possible.

10. Termination

We may suspend or remove access if a user violates these Terms, misuses the system, or uploads inappropriate content.
