1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how nthlabs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when using ClipSpark by nthlabs ("Service"), an AI tool that turns an uploaded video into a short clip.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Video files you upload, and the audio track extracted from them, in order to produce your clip
• The transcript of the speech in your video, produced automatically from that audio
• Email address and name (via Google Authentication)
• Manual payment request information (package selection, email)
• Optional feedback content and email (if submitted)

You do not need an account to try the Service. Guest use is tracked only in your own browser's local storage.

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

• Anonymous analytics (via Cloudflare Web Analytics and internal metrics)
• Basic technical information (browser type, device type, session duration)
• Authentication session data (Firebase user ID, login timestamps)

2.3 Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies and local storage for:

• Authentication and session continuity
• Tracking free generation limits for guest users
• Basic analytics and service improvement

No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To transcribe the speech in your video, so it can be split into scenes
• To select which scenes go into your final clip, and to render that clip
• To generate on-screen captions from the transcript, if you enable them
• To manage your account and credit balance
• To track anonymous usage metrics and improve the Service
• To process manual payment requests and communicate with you
• To respond to feedback or support messages

We do not use your videos, audio, or transcripts to train our own models, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone other than the processors listed in section 5.

4. Data Retention

• Your uploaded video and the rendered clip are deleted from our server within 15 minutes. They are kept that briefly only so you can re-render a different selection of scenes without uploading again. Deletion is automatic; you do not have to request it.
• The audio we extract for transcription is temporary and is not kept after the transcript is produced.
• Transcripts are held only for the lifetime of your editing session and are not stored afterwards.
• Account data (email, credits, usage stats) is stored while your Firebase account is active
• Feedback is retained for up to 180 days
• Analytics are anonymized and aggregated
• We store a random, anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage to see whether people who start the process reach a finished clip. It is not tied to your identity and is not shared with anyone.

Please download your clip before the 15-minute window ends — once the files are deleted we cannot recover them.

5. Third-Party Services

To produce your clip we send parts of your content to the following providers, which process it on our behalf under their own privacy policies:

• Groq – the audio track extracted from your video is sent to Groq's Whisper speech-to-text API to produce a transcript with word-level timings. This means the audio of your video, including anything spoken in it, leaves our server.
• OpenAI – the resulting text transcript (not your video or audio) is sent to OpenAI to choose which scenes make the best clip.

We also use:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) – for secure user login
• Cloudflare Web Analytics – for privacy-friendly usage tracking
• Manual Payments (via email/communication) – handled internally

If you do not want your video's audio or transcript sent to these providers, please do not upload it — the Service cannot work without those steps.

6. Your Content

You keep all rights to the video you upload and to the clip you get back. By uploading, you confirm that you have the right to use that footage and that it does not contain anything you are not allowed to share. Do not upload video of other people who have not agreed to it, or footage you do not own the rights to.

7. Your Rights

• Your uploaded video and rendered clip are deleted automatically within 15 minutes (see section 4)
• Access and delete your Firebase account data at any time
• Request deletion of any feedback or payment info you provided
• Opt out of analytics by using browser privacy settings

8. Service Updates

As we are in early development, the Service may evolve quickly. If major privacy changes occur, users will be notified via the email used for authentication.
